The ASCD Prepares to Host 2017 Conference on Teaching Excellence

An education leader with experience working as a teacher, a principal, and a superintendent, Jon Ray currently serves as the superintendent of the Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District in Humboldt County, California. Alongside his administrative activities there, Jon Ray works closely with several education associations, including the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).

As part of its efforts to improve education and educational leadership, the ASCD holds various conferences, institutes, and symposia throughout the year. The organization recently wrapped up its 2017 Annual Conference and is now busy preparing for a number of upcoming events, including the 2017 Conference on Teaching Excellence.

A three-day event, the 2017 Conference on Teaching Excellence will be held June 30-July 2 in Denver, Colorado. ASCD members and non-members can now register for the conference, which will feature teachers and education thought leaders discussing assessment, differentiation, lesson planning, literacy, and a range of other topics. The event will also include pre-conference institutes held on Thursday, June 29.

Outside of the various learning activities, attendees at the Conference on Teaching Excellence will have the opportunity to meet up with colleagues at a welcome reception, keynote luncheons, and free networking breakfasts. Additional details, including registration rates and hotel information, can be found at www.ascd.org.
